The webpage design is important to both designer as well as the webpage visitor. It is the designer-s responsibility to capture and maintain the visitor-s attention. Here are ten tips to keep in mind when designing the website.
1.Design the page for the targeted audience. Use a color contrast that attracts that particular group.
2.Verify all links on the webpage are valid.
3.Costumers are less likely to return to a webpage that does not fit their needs.
4.Use animated advertisements and links when appropriate. Do not use them on informational website.
The talking advertisement distracts the visitor trying to read the information on the webpage.
5.Make the items on the webpage small. Place the focal point of the webpage at eye level.
6.Arrange the webpage so that it is easy to navigate.
7.Write at a level that everyone understands. Keep the text simple. Double check spelling and grammar.
8.Do not use pop ups. Many pop ups are annoying and distracting.
9.Check out the competition, ask for suggestions and always look for new ways to improve the website to
keep up with the costumers needs.
10.Don-t use code you don-t understand.
